By the time a young person has started his teenage years he is more than half way to adulthood. Soon he will be responsible for his own livelihood. The young person will have to make big decisions about his education, his career, and his housing. He will be starting a family of his own and will be responsible for a spouse and for children. Until now politics has probably been of very little importance in his mind, but that is going to change. When he leaves the shelter of the nest he will have to deal with the consequences of politicians and bureaucrats and the decisions which they make. He will have to make wise decisions about who to vote for and who to support.
Until now, who has been there to make his life easier, and who has made his life more difficult? Who will be the best for him and for the family which he is about to start? Consider the contrast between the two recent administrations, first, on immigration. When President Trump was in office, border security was the best that it had been in many, many years. He resisted the migration of thousands of people trying to force their way into the United States illegally. He built hundreds of miles of border wall made of the best materials available. He persuaded Mexico to provide 27,000 troops to help guard the border. Also, President Trump gave orders which made migrants stay south of the border in Mexico while their claims for asylum were were considered. Also, President Trump rounded up and expelled many dangerous criminals like drug traffickers, human traffickers, and MS-13 gang members.
On the other hand, when Joe Biden (I refuse to call him “President”) took office, he opened the borders wide, allowing Mexican drug cartels to control our southern border, and traffic into our country thousands of illegal aliens who arrive each day — well over a million so far. Not only so, but at tax-payer expense, the Biden administration has advertised through all Latin America and through all the world, inviting all to come. Why? Biden expects them to turn into Democrat voters. Their votes will be illegal, but their votes will still count. Some come thinking they can find a better life for themselves, but many come who seek our harm from countries who shout, “Death to America!”
Not long ago Biden complained that a 12-year-old girl who was raped had to travel to another state for an abortion because, at the time, abortion was illegal in Ohio. (That was a lie. The girl did not have to get an abortion. Abortion does not erase the trauma of rape. Abortion makes things worse.) What Biden did not tell us was that this young girl was raped by an illegal immigrant whom he allowed to enter the country. That child, and many others, have been raped because of Joe Biden. And not only so, but the money which American tax payers would prefer to spend on our families we now must use to pay for the housing, education, and medical expenses of intruders who shouldn’t even be here.
When President Trump was in office he opened up the nation to petroleum development. He opened up the oil fields of Antwerp, Alaska. He filled our strategic oil reserves to the brim. For the first time in many decades the United States was energy sufficient, and American oil was being sold abroad. The abundance of energy brought the cost of gasoline down to about $1.87 a gallon. As soon as Joe Biden took over he canceled oil leases and shut down the oil fields in Alaska. We now have to buy oil from nations that hate American guts, and in so doing we are financing terrorism. Gasoline prices more than doubled very quickly. Large portions of our oil reserves were sold to China. Gasoline prices have come down recently, but that is because Biden has been selling our oil reserves. Those reserves were meant to be kept in store for times of emergency, not for the purpose of raising the popularity off Democrat politicians.
Much more can be said on many different topics, but I think you get the point. If I were a teenager I would be rooting for Donald to return to the presidency and to finish the good work which he started. If Joe Biden, or someone like him, continues to hold power, the teens of today have virtually no future at all to look forward to.
