I have a lot of reasons for endorsing Senator Ted Cruz. That doesn’t mean I have always agreed with him on every point. But though I have never met him personally, I am persuaded that he is very committed to what he believes to be right.
When Barack Obama was determined to push his “Affordable Care Act,” he promised that it would, among other things, reduce insurance premiums for middle class America. It was never really intended to do that. The only nice thing about that bill was its name. Knowing that the only real purpose of the bill was to increase the power of the federal government, Senator Ted Cruz bravely stood against the lie in a 23-hour filibuster on the Senate floor.
Senator Cruz is fervently pro-life and pro-family. He has boldly stood for the rights of pro-life doctors and nurses whom the government has tried obligate to participate in abortions. He has also bravely stood up to the FBI who, instead of pursuing dangerous criminals and real terrorists, they label as terrorists and investigate the parents who appear before school boards to speak against those who teach their children “critical race theory” and “woke” doctrine.
Ted Cruz has bravely protected the second amendment rights of Americans to keep and bear arms, while working to protect Americans from those who abuse fire arms. Since our schools are an easy, soft target for deranged, criminal terrorists, Senator Cruz introduced legislation to allocate funds to hire armed guards for the protection of our children in schools. Without explanations, the Democrats in the Senate opposed and killed the funding measure. As a result, more children have been killed in school shootings. The deep state swamp snakes were eager to exploit the death of more innocent children as an excuse to take away the rights of lawful gun owners. Ted Cruz successfully resisted their efforts because gun laws don’t take fire arms away from criminals and from the mentally deranged. Gun laws only take fire arms away from good and responsible people.
Senator Cruz has visited our southern border and has seen first hand the disaster of the invasion of our nation, controlled and organized by the cruel and heartless Mexican drug cartels. The senator has denounced in the strongest possible terms the irresponsible inaction of the present administration in, not only allowing, but actively encouraging the illegal entry of unlawful migrants who financially overwhelm our economy, and also include dangerous criminals out of the prisons of other countries from Latin America and around the world. The Senator has also publicly exposed the worst of all, which is the trafficking of women and small children into lives of sex slavery.
In 2022 Ted Cruz referred to the prisoners of January 6 as “terrorists.” He shouldn’t have said that. Although there were some bad actors who did some foolish and illegal things on January 6, terrorists don’t attempt an insurrection when armed only with flags, posters, and cell phones. Most of the people on that day had no idea that they were doing anything wrong, especially since the police removed barriers and opened the doors of the building for the people. Although he did say the wrong thing about the protesters, a year later the Senator did publicly expose the FBI in a senate investigation for sending agents, dressed as Trump supporters, into the crowd to entice the entry of protesters into the capital building.
Should we oppose Senator Cruz because he said something wrong? Certainly not! Remember that President Trump had promoted the covid shots, which he shouldn’t have done. Because of that, are we going to vote for Joe Biden against Donald Trump? Anyone who opposes Cruz because of one wrong thing that he said, consider the alternative. His opponent, Congressman Colin Allred, voted with Nancy Pulosi and Joe Biden almost 100% of the time during his first four years in congress. He supported releasing dangerous criminals out of prison into society. He has voted for higher taxes, higher spending, open borders, and against the export of liquefied natural gas, just to name a few things. We are a lot better off with Ted Cruz, who almost always does everything right, instead of his opponent who does almost everything wrong.
